Anyone can nominate a candidate for the Deutscher Prize. Nominations for each year’s prize (covering publication dates from the previous May through to November of the year of award) may be submitted up to May 1st. The prize is awarded for a book which exemplifies the best and most innovative new writing in or about the Marxist tradition.
